We thought we had his arrival all planned out but he sure had a surprise for us!

Jack is such a sweet little baby. He is very much a blessing to our family! We are all in love! Especially Miss. Kamryn! He is "her baby Jack"...she wants to constantly hold him and take care of him....she is such a good big sister!

I will post more on his big arrival soon.

Sweet Dreams

This sweet little girl fell asleep watching her favorite movie- "Toy Story". You know that means she was tired!

I love this little girl more than words can begin to express.

Oh, Christmas Tree!

The tree has been up for about a week now. There are even presents under it!

~38 Weeks~

38 weeks….only one more week to go!

Baby Jack should really be plumping up now…weighing about 7 pounds and about 20 inches long (the size of a watermelon).

He now has a firm grasp. I can’t wait to feel his little hand hold my finger for the first time! His organs should be matured and ready for life outside the womb. At this point, he is working on last minute details like shedding the skin-protecting vernix and lanugo, producing more surfactant (a substance that prevents the air sacs in his lungs from sticking to one another once he starts to breathe), continuing to add fat, and fine-tuning his brain and nervous system.

I go back to the doctor tomorrow for another check at progress. We have had NO PROGRESS so far…which is perfect for us because we don’t want Jack to make his big arrival until his Daddy gets home from work. If we start to show progress or actually go into labor we will do our very best to get Jimmy home from San Antonio in time. It will break my heart and his too if he doesn’t get here in time. But, I’m trying not to think about that….just praying, praying and trying to think positive that Jack will stay put until his scheduled date of 12/1.

Decorating

We have started (and pretty much completed) our Christmas decorating. Kamryn has been such a big helper!

Thanksgiving Party

Kamryn's class had their Thanksgiving Party at school today.

...her artwork...

...love this...

...sweet little Indian...

We have so much to be thankful for this year!

AWANA: Camo Night

Wednesday was Camo Night at Awana. Kamryn was excited to wear her camo overalls....but this child is so stinking tall that they were beyond to short. Thankfully we found these camo fleece pants! Kamryn loves going to Awana and it just melts my heart.

36 Weeks

Of course, Baby Jack is still packing on the pounds — at the rate of about an ounce a day. He should now weigh about 6 pounds (like a Crenshaw melon) and should be more than 18 1/2 inches long. He's shedding most of the downy covering of hair that covered his body as well as the vernix caseosa, the waxy substance that covered and protected his skin during his nine-month amniotic bath. At the end of this week, he will be considered full-term at 37 weeks.

We go for our 36 week appointment tomorrow, and will start checking for dilation/progress weekly. Pray for healthy check up. Pray that Jack is NOT ready to make his grand arrival just yet. As miserable as I am these days, I want him to stay put as long as possible.

Not much longer….3 weeks at most!

Trick or Treat

Halloween was a success this year. We had many festivities going on the week before Halloween including a fall party at school and Trunk or Treat at church. We finished the week off with Trick or Treating on the square! Kamryn had a blast! We then made a few stops at some of the grandparents' houses per their request to see Snow White. Then it was home to hand out candy to other trick or treaters.

We hope everyone had a safe and happy Halloween!
