Big Boy Food

Jack started eating cereal around 4 months.
"What is this stuff?"
He wasn't sure of it at first....

Didn't take long until he was eating it up!

YUM!
He has now tried, and liked: cereal, sweet peas, applesauce, bananas, and squash.

Jack was 4 months on March 27, 2012. He is such a happy baby!

Jack, 3 months

Jack is now 4 months but here is his 3 month photo for the record.
I'll have his 4 month picture up soon. :)

a few snapshots

I can't keep up with the blog anymore. I will get back on track....eventually....I hope. I am slowly getting back in the routine of things. On top of adjusting to being a family of four, we've been plagued with illnesses. Jack developed what we were sure was RSV, since he tested negative for RSV, he had a "bronchitis infection". While trying to get him well from that, we all come down with walking pneumonia. Needless to say, we have had a tough time lately. Everyone is better now.

Kam and Jack

Kamryn is getting pretty good at tracing her name.

Jack

She loves to climb into Jack's bed when he wakes up from a nap.

I ask her all the time..."how did you get so pretty?"

Sheep or Goat?

In my Bible study this morning, I studied Matthew 25:31-46
“When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.  He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.
“Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world.  For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in,  I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’
“Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’
“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.’
“Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’
“They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’
“He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’
“Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.”
It is very humbling to think about. Today, most people focus on helping themselves and sometimes their friends and family, but a stranger….rarely a stranger. We should be helping, giving, ministering to everyone, friends and strangers alike. Are you a sheep or a goat?

2 month check up

Kamryn and I took Jack to see the doctor today for his 2 month well baby checkup. Boy do we have a BIG BOY! At 8 weeks, he is now 24 inches long and weighs 13.12 pounds.  J Everything looked great and Jack is progressing wonderfully. He got his shots today L and cried for a couple of seconds, and then he was fine. He has been in some pain this afternoon and hasn’t eaten much but here’s to hoping the Tylenol helps us through the night.
Here are a couple of recent pictures of Kamryn and Jack.
