Destin Vacation

Last week we enjoyed a much needed vacation in Destin, Florida. A little sand and sun was just what the doctor ordered. Day 1, Jimmy gets sunburned. So Day 2, 3, 4, etc. I had to drag him kicking and screaming down to the beach. Kamryn loved her trip to the beach. She got to sleep in the massive sized bed, eat breakfast on the balcony with Mama and watch the waves hit the beach every morning, swim in the swimming pool (which she LOVES), build sand castles, get buried under the sand, and all of the other beach-y stuff. She also watched her first real movie. The condo put out their outdoor theatre sized movie screen and we all watched a movie! Kamryn watched it for a good while but it wasn't her type of movie so we went back to the room. Here are some pictures from our adventure...

17 weeks

Baby Aguilar #2 now weighs about 5 ounces (even though Mama has gained more that 5 ounces-lol) and is about 5 inches long. He/she is about the size of my palm.

At this point:
he/she is developing body fat,
his/her legs are much more developed,
its head is more erect with eyes closer to the front of his/her head,
the ears are almost in their final position,
his/her skeleton is hardening to bone,
the umbilical cord is growing stronger and thicker,
heart is now regulated by her brain (his/her heart is beating twice as fast as mine), and
he/she is practicing sucking/swallowing.

15 weeks.

Baby Aguilar #2 is the size of an apple.

He/She is now forming taste buds, can sense light, and can move all of his/her joints and limbs. I went to see Dr. Kaykay yesterday. I love going to see this group of ladies! I had to do all of that (yuck) blood work, and I got to hear this peanut's heartbeat (my favorite). Everything was perfect!

Kamryn is now going to school at PDS. She LOVES it! This summer seems to be structured more like a daycare and that works great for us because she has never been to a daycare/school before. This will prepare her for the fall school session. Here is the big girl on her first day! :)

New BIG News

If you were wondering why no posts lately: we have had tons on our plate. I come today with a fresh new post and some really GREAT news! We are expecting our second little Aguilar peanut in December. Yep, I'm pregnant!

Of course, Jimmy and I are beyond thrilled.

Kamryn is super duper excited! (I'll let you know how she feels after the baby gets here and keeps her up at night.)

Jimmy is convinced that it is a BOY. I just don't know. If I base my prediction on comparing the two pregnancies, this is a boy. I say that because pregnancy #1 and pregnancy #2 are night and day. With Kamryn, I wasn't sick or even really that tired. With this one, oh boy! I was SO nauseous and oh so tired. And the headaches have been constant. I am beyond thrilled and know it will all be so worth it.

I am starting my second trimester, so the nausea is gone (hopefully for good) and I'm getting my energy back. Bring on the early nesting!

We are enjoying this time so much. Kamryn hugs and kisses my baby bump. Last night, she put her hand on my stomach and started singing to her baby brother or sister. (Some days it's a brother, some days it's a sister.) The funny girl tries to find her baby brother/sister by looking in my belly button! :)

Baby Aguilar #2 is now the size of a lemon. He/She is stretching out these days and is probably kicking up a storm (even though I can't feel it yet). He/She can now make facial expression and suck his/her thumb.

Although we are so so excited, we are a little nervous too. Please pray for all FOUR of us!
