Thank you all for your prayers...

I know that I have been the worst blogger in the world these past few weeks...our lives have been unbelievably hectic lately. As many of you know, our cousin passed away about a week and a half ago. She was only 15 years old with so much life ahead of her. I ask that you all continue to lift our family up in your prayers...especially her mom and dad, as this will be the most difficult heartache they will ever experience. The only comfort in a time like this comes from our Lord and Savior. I am thankful to serve my God because through my faith...I know that death is not the end, it is just part of our journey. Through my faith, I know that we will once again see those that have passed on before us. Praise God for that!

a little of THIS and a little of THAT

I find it amazing how much Kamryn has grown in four short months....I just had to share...

...at three weeks...

...at four months...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
She is definitely growing and learning more and more each day.
She has found those toes...
...and loves to stand up (with help, of course)...
...and when she's bored with everything else, this is what she does...
...Easter Sunday...
Easter Sunday turned out to be a perfect day. The sun was out most of the day and the temperature was just perfect. We woke up bright and early for church...although it took some prompting from Mama to wake Kamryn up....I think she wanted to sleep in. :) After church, we were off to our family gathering....and boy did we have some good food! After our late lunch, the children were ready to hunt eggs. Poor Kamryn was exhausted and didn't make it to watch the Egg Hunt, so she took a little nap while the other kids hunted eggs. She'll be old enough to hunt next year, so everyone better watch out!
...just more Easter pics...
...Easter Bunny Pics...
Kamryn had her picture taken with the Easter Bunny today! Even though I was a little worried as to what her reaction would be...she did wonderful! Right now, she is really into grabbing for, touching, and feeling things, so, when the Easter Bunny stuck out his hand, she immediately grabbed it like she had known him forever. (She was probably thinking "Ooo, I wonder what that would taste like??" Eeewww-thank goodness she didn't taste it-too many germs for me, thanks.) Anyway, like I said, she did wonderful.
I pray we all remember what Easter is REALLY about. The Easter Bunny and Egg Hunts are fun, but not what Easter is really about. ~Thank you Lord for sending your only son to die for MY sins so that I may have eternal life in Heaven. Thank You for saving me.~
Wishing everyone a very Happy Easter!
She Finally Did It!
She did it! Kamryn finally rolled over! And I missed it! As you all know, she hates to be on her tummy (although she is getting better with time)....anyway, I always joke and say that she will walk before she rolls over. Nope! Today she proved me wrong, thankfully! Tonight, I was eating dinner and Kamryn was on a mat in the floor playing (on her back)....the next second she was playing on her mat- on her stomach! I jumped up and grabbed my camera. It was to late and no matter how I tried, she refused to do it again. Oh well, she did it!
This is immediately after the BIG ROLL! :)
In other Kamryn news....she went to her first crawfish boil over the weekend. Everyone on Jimmy's side of the family got together on Saturday...and Kamryn sure enjoyed playing with her cousins and getting all that attention from her aunts and Great-Grandma. She seemed to enjoy watching her daddy play volleyball too! (He'll have her out there as soon as she can walk, I'm sure.)
....just hanging out with cousin Alyssa. Alyssa wanted to hold Kamryn all day...so sweet...
Kamryn also got a new toy....her Jumper! Today was her first try at it. She seemed to like it...I'm sure she will like it even more with time. I know we'll have more pictures to come with this thing!
The Easter Bunny came to our house EARLY...
...we’re not sure if it was because Jimmy has to go back to work Tuesday and won’t be here on Easter or if it was because Kamryn was extra sweet! :) Maybe it was a little of both. :) Jimmy’s job takes him away from us WAY TOO MUCH…but we are thankful he HAS a job with this economy. Anyway…while we were fast asleep last night…the Easter Bunny came and left goodies for sweet Kamryn. We all had a wonderful time watching her dig in her basket (ok, so I did the digging and then I would show her...lol). Although she doesn’t run down the hall yelling “The Easter Bunny came!”, she is more alert now in comparison to Christmas. I don’t want her to grow up any faster than she already is, so I’m very content digging in her basket for her…..for now. Kamryn’s basket was so cute and filled with two new outfits, a bunny-rabbit, The Very Hungry Caterpillar book, bubbles, bath toys, and candy. Ok, ok, the candy was for Mama and Daddy…but Kamryn thought it was pretty!
After all of this excitement, Kamryn needed a nap. After her nap, we hid some eggs for Kamryn to hunt. This was quite interesting…I can’t say she really “hunted” the eggs...she had no clue what was going on…oh well…she liked being outside and enjoyed the bright colored eggs! It’s not the easiest thing to start your own traditions with a young baby….but hey, it was fun...and everything will fall into place....we all have to start somewhere, right? Of course, we will have another Egg Hunt on Easter (with the extended family) …but here are some pictures from our little family and our early celebration….I wouldn't trade these moments for anything in the world.
Look at her sweet little Easter basket.
Sweet girl found one....(thanks Daddy).
Kamryn and Daddy hunting for Easter Eggs!
"Look Kamryn....it's a pretty Easter Egg....get it!"
There are many moments in life when I take a step back and look at all that I have been blessed with. Seeing my precious angel learning and growing makes me do just that...."Thank you God. Your are my Lord and Savior. Thank YOU for this...."
