...Santa came EARLY...

I LOVE CHRISTMAS! Each year, I can’t wait to put up our tree (I don’t want to take it down either) I also sing “Silent Night” to Kamryn all year long. Some people have to “get into the Christmas spirit”…. "the Christmas spirit” never leaves me! :) Being with family during this time of year just warms the soul. It really is “the most wonderful time of the year”. The time that we celebrate the birth of our Savior.

But boy oh boy…is this time of year busy or what?!! We have such a large family; we have to start super early with all of our “get-togethers”. Let’s see….it’s December 21, 2009 and we have already had FIVE Christmases….PLUS we asked Santa to come see us early this year due to Jimmy having to work on Christmas…and he AGREED! Santa was very generous to Kamryn this year….leaving her: a wagon, an activity table, books, movies, and many other fun toys! I wasn’t expecting her to have much of a reaction, but she did! She walked into the living room, she saw all of her toys sitting under the tree and her face lit up! She was smiling and looked at me, then Jimmy, as if to say “For me?”. Then she walked over and played with each toy!

Having children REALLY does bring the greatest joy back into Christmas. Seeing it all through their eyes is amazing. Here are some pictures….and we still have a few more places to visit to celebrate with other friends and family, SO MORE TO COME, I’m sure! :)

Look at everything Santa left for sweet Kamryn.

She is trying the wagon out.

This was a BIG HIT.

She couldn't believe all of these new toys were for her!

Concentrating.

This little girl is having such a good time!

Her Grandaddy bought her a 4-wheeler!

Like I said, there will be more to come....until then, Merry Christmas!

Mississippi Weather

Today, it was much warmer than usual. (Well, what is considered the norm for Mississippi weather? One day, a few weeks ago, we had snow and two days later there were threats of tornadoes. One day it'll be freezing, the next 70 degrees. What's normal anymore?) Anyway, since it was warmer...I took Kamryn out to play. We only stayed out for about 5 minutes or so...she has been a little sick, so I knew we shouldn't over do it. She just hasn't been able to walk around much outside since she learned to walk because it has been cold. So, today, we took advantage and enjoyed a nice stroll around the yard...

...she didn't care if I caught up or not. She was having a great time...

"See the pinecone?"

Of course, she had to go say hey to her boys!

...loves to read...

I ALWAYS find Kamryn in her room doing this. She will drag out a bunch of her books and sit there and "read". I love this; I hope she continues to like reading as she gets older.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!

We hope everyone has a very blessed Christmas this year!
From our family to yours...

CHRISTMAS PARADE

We took Kamryn to the Christmas parade this year. We were all bundled up.....because it was freezing!

December 10, 2008

This date changed our lives; this date was the happiest day of our lives....the day that our daughter was born. Kamryn Claire was born December 10, 2008 at 1:56pm.

Fast-forward one year....

We had her 1st birthday party this past weekend. I think it was very successful and the birthday girl had a blast!

Here are a few pics from the birthday weekend:

...YUM...

...YAY, it's my party...

...out of all of her presents, she enjoyed the paper!

...playing with some of the kids...

I can't believe how quickly this past year has flown! My little baby is now ONE! She has such a big personality...and it continues to come through more and more each day. She is a very independent (99% of the time), playful, loving, smart, outgoing, silly one year old! She keeps us on our toes...that's for sure!

Just a few more pics... :)

I think I'm big enough....

I think I'm big enough to do everything by myself. I was cooking and left the refrigerator door open. I turn around to find Miss. Kamryn helping herself to Daddy's coke.

she finally did it....

...feel asleep in her high chair. This child is so serious about food that I thought she would never fall asleep while there was food to be ate. I was wrong....poor sleepy baby. :)

...a little snow over the weekend...

It started snowing Friday night....just small flurries. I was excited to hear we would get some snow but sad that it probably wouldn't stick around for Kamryn to enjoy the next morning. However, when we woke up Saturday morning, there was a little left for her to see. Here she is checking it out and even tasting some!

Fall Family Pictures

We had our fall family pictures taken the other day with Sukie Philyaw. (If anyone is looking for someone to do theirs in or around Kosciusko, I highly recommend her.) Kamryn had a blast playing in the leaves and trying to tell us about all of the cool things she was seeing. She has started doing that a lot in the last couple of weeks: she'll point at something and starting rambling on and on....boy I wish I could understand her because she gets so excited about whatever she is saying! :)
(Note: I'm not sure why the quality of the picture is low on the blog....but if you click on the picture to enlarge it, the image clears up. )

We hope everyone has a very
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Trick or Treat

We hope everyone had a fun and safe Halloween this year! I'm so behind on posting our Halloween pictures, I know. Kamryn was a pink bunny this year; the costume came complete with a carrot and all! She was SO adorable, if I do say so myself. :)

...yes, I took my first step...

It has been so long since my last blog; I do not know where to start. Little Miss Kamryn is SUCH a busy lil thing these days (yes, I know it will only get "worse"). I DO LOVE THIS AGE! She is not only crawling everywhere....she is now attempting to walk! Yes, WALK! She has her little walker that she pushes around when she wants to get somewhere fast...but, she is also taking two or three steps on her on. I wasn't ready for this, guys! I thought I had a couple more months to prepare myself....guess again! She's is growing up SO fast....I'm already getting things ready for her FIRST BIRTHDAY! Didn't we just come home from the hospital....like, three months ago?!

Anyway, she is getting a mouth full of teeth. She has three on the bottom, two on the top, and I expect a third top tooth will break through in a day or two. Other than the annoying teeth coming in....Kamryn is the happiest baby ever! I'm not just saying this because she's mine....everyone says it. They want to know if she ever cries. Of course, this makes me happy....but I still have to smile to myself because....boy oh boy...does she have a temper! (Yes, I'll admit it, she gets it from her mama!) She really is such a joy to us....and she is FUNNY! I find myself laughing at her all day! She has developed this "fake laugh" that she uses when she is trying to make us laugh. The "fake laugh" itself is so stinkin' funny, you can't help but laugh!

I have included a few pictures....

Here she is standing up, playing.

This is Kamryn's friend, Austin. You should see these two play....they will crawl around and chase each other around the house! So funny!

Here she is playing with her walker that is such a big help in her mobility! Judging by the look on her face, I disturbed her while she was playing. I'm sure she's thinking, "What, paparazzi, what?!" :)

...just being silly, as usual...

I had some yard work to do today, so I put her in this walker because she's not as quick in this one....especially in the grass. She had fun just watching me work! :)
